Stoetzer, Inc. is a fine arts resource center that can meet the needs for any concern that you may have about an object of art.
Where does it come from, and is it real? Did I pay a fair price? Do I need scientific analysis to be sure it is ancient? Where can this testing be done? How can it be displayed for an optimum effect, yet be stable and protected from any environmental concerns? Will this be harmed by any electric lighting or sunlight? How can I tell if it needs conservation or restoration treatment? What is it worth and how can I sell it? These are a few of the questions that seem inevitably to arise for any single object or collection. We can help you address these and other issues that you may be concerned about in order to find the answers.
The primary goal of Stoetzer, Inc. is to preserve and protect significant works of art created by ancient and modern man. To restore those objects to a condition that allows them to be secure and enduring, and for the art to be capable of being studied and admired by the world for many years to come.
As restorers we are caretakers and it is our responsibility to be faithful to each object by restoring the art without changing the integrity of what it was intended to be. Each object is unique and requires special consideration. To further protect each object, we adhere to principles that call for the use of materials for restoration that are fully reversible. A treatment plan is determined for each work along with photographic documentation before and after completion of the repairs.
